This reconnaissance and combat vehicle, sometimes also called SERVAL, is a significantly modified version of the Mercedes G-Class for the German Army for KSK Special Forces in 2003.
The German Army owns 21 units of it.
This Mercedes G-Wagen conversion fulfills the same role as the British Army with the Land Rover WMIK. This SERVAL has a range of over 800 kilometers.
The basic vehicle is a Mercedes LWB version, and it has a light roof, desensitizing plates, up to three machine guns, smoke, a winch and storage boxes, etc.
These vehicles have been engaged in Afghanistan by the Bundeswehr.
The Swiss Army also ordered them in 2007.
