The HEMTT M1074 PLS is a Palletized Load System that is composed of a main engine truck with full automatic and unloading transport capability, a 16.5 ton loaded payload and removable cargo beds (flatracks). It is a key transportation component of the ammunition distribution network and will perform long range transportation, local transportation and ammunition unit resupply.
It is a tactical truck with 5 axles. This combination provides a highly mobile system capable of carrying its payload in virtually any type of terrain, in any type of weather and keeping pace with the self-propelled artillery systems it supports.
