The GAMA GOAT is a small all-terrain vehicle with six-wheel drive, as well as the ability to be semi-amphibious.
It was developed by the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was put into service in 1970 and served until 1990.
Its nickname comes from the name of its inventor "GAMA" and "GOAT" meaning "chèvre" in French because of its ability to move over rough terrain.
The vehicle has been replaced by utility versions of the HUMVEE.
