The Armored Recovery Vehicle DACHS which means "Badger" in German is a support vehicle of the German Army
Built in more than 140 units for the German Army, its conception goes back to the 80s. The first ones to arrive were at the beginning of the 90s.
Designed for earthmoving, the DACHS are also intended as a towing vehicle for armored vehicles that break down during combat, or to tow them out of the danger zone for more extensive repairs.
Its chassis is that of the LEOPARD 1 tank. The crew consists of a driver, a skipper and a third soldier as additional manpower.
