The SERVAL light multi-role armored vehicle (VBMR-L) is part of the French SCORPION program.

The Serval is designed to replace the VAB.

They are produced at NEXTER's Roanne plant, alongside the Griffon and Jaguar armored vehicles.
VBMR-L SERVAL from 3ème RPIMA
The Serval is a 4x4 weighing 15 to 17 tons and incorporates equipment common to Scorpion vehicles. It is fitted with a turret remotely operated from the cockpit, threat detectors and the Scorpion Combat Information System (SICS).
Four VBMR-L SERVALs in preparation
IIt can carry two crew members and eight men equipped with the Félin system.

More than 970 SERVALs have been ordered by FRANCE up to 2030. The first deliveries began in 2022.

8 sub-versions are available: infantry, engineer, 81 mortar, 120 mortar, command post, medium-range missile, very short-range ground-to-air and refueling.
VBMR-L SERVAL
