Krasukha 4 (Russian: Красуха, Krassoukha) is a Russian electronic warfare device developed to counter enemy radar and anti-aircraft missile systems. It is designed to jam electronic communications by creating interference and disruption, rendering enemy defence systems unable to detect and track aircraft and missiles.
A single one of these devices is capable of jamming waves over 300 square kilometres and at high altitude. Its purpose is to disrupt satellite communications between units and with drones, thereby altering the trajectory of certain missiles targeting Russian military convoys.
Built by KRET (Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies), the Krasukha has been tested by the Russians for several years in land, air and sea versions. In 2014, Russian aircraft flying over the Black Sea reportedly succeeded in disabling the anti-aircraft systems and radars of an American destroyer.
