The "KAMAZ 63986 TYPHOON K" is a Russian transport vehicle designed as a MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected).

The development of this vehicle started in 2010. In 2012 a contract was signed between the Russian Ministry of Army and the company "KAMAZ".

The first ones were delivered in early 2014. That same year, twelve "TYPHOON K" took part in the 1945 Victory Day military parade on Red Square in Moscow.

It has a range of 1,200 kilometers. Its maximum speed is 105 kilometers per hour.

Its all-terrain capability is a major asset in theaters of operation.

With an empty weight of 21 tons, a length of 9 meters and a width of 2.45 meters, it can carry up to 16 people in addition to the driver and the commander.

A particularity of this vehicle is that the engine unit is located in the middle separating the front part where three people can be accommodated in the cabin and the rest in the rear part.
